There are so many things

Then I could have been certain
before I told you it was love.

to understand what I’ve been saying.
I guess your mind is filled
with painted pictures of the past.

But, now you have to understand
it wasn’t what it seemed like.
You couldn’t have known me too well
to think that it might last.
