I’d say that I’ve been well
Can’t say I’ve been alone

I would not know what words to say to you.
I would see you and then
I would walk up very slowly to you.
and I’d try to keep myself from crying.
But I know you could tell,
I was never very good at lying.
all of the time, others have been with me.
But it’s just you alone
who could really ever make me happy.
